When the test is useful
There are many conditions that may cause hidden blood in stool. Early-stage colorectal cancer, inflammation, diverticulitis, ulcers, polyps, and other disorders may present with occult bleeding in stool even when no other symptoms are yet noticeable.
Sensitest FOB test for detection of occult blood in stool is accurate and easy to interpret. The test is highly sensitive and can detect as little as 20 ng/ml of hemoglobin in a stool sample.
Testing is performed as a standard stool sample collection and the indicative result is available within minutes in the comfort of home.
